Hard to believe it’s over 20 years since Kurt Cobains death – at least two generations since the ‘original’ grungers from the 90’s threw themselves around the school basketball gym to the angst ridden sounds of Nirvana and reinvented rock for an entire generation. The kings of ‘the Seattle sound’ ensured their place in the history of rock with the 1991 album ‘Nevermind’, featuring the anthemic ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit’. – the very inspiration for this T-shirt as we add to our designs that re-imagine our favourite bands and artists as sports teams… and with the setting for the video, they were always going to be a basketball team. We think it’ll look great under an open check shirt.
